Hey! Thanks for dropping by and welcome to the wildlife and landscape photoghraphy pages of professional photographer John Gardner. Although most of my living is made shooting commercial, fashion, glamour and weddings, my photography started from my keen interest in nature and birdwatching. As I grew up and travelled the world in search of birds, I began to take photographs of some of the things I'd seen and eventually I became semi-professional as a wildlife photographer. However, in 2005 I took a career break from my day job as an IT specialist for a large bank to concentrate on my life goal of becoming a professional photographer. While I still thrive on taking nature images, I decided that running a commercial studio and shooting people oriented images would be a better path financially and so, while I am now a full time photographer, wildlife remains very much a passionate hobby. After a short break from nature and landscape work while I concentrated on establishing myself as a commercial photographer. I'm now back behind the lens and passionately shooting wildlife. My wife and I, plus two friends were at the Poulton show last night. Niether my wife nor the friends are photographers, but all agreed it was a smashing show. The friends remarked that it was wonderful to see such a wonderful display of such superb photos, particularly the birds.
